Our research into the history of our family has taken us back to the 18th Century in Denbighshire and Lancashire. As can be seen they moved about a great deal.  The pages in this section tell something of their lives, the places where they lived and how over the past 200 plus years our lives have changed.

It wasn't until 1868 that the 't' was added to the Prichard name of our ancestors.  All our records show that before that date it was Prichard without the 't' so that is how it appears on this website for all of those members of the family born in Wales.  George (1842) and Margaret (1842) Prichard were illiterate and the 't' was added to their name when they registered the birth of Robert (1868) in Co. Durham.  We have also decided to use the Welsh name 'Aberchwiler' rather than the English 'Aberwheeler' in all our references to the place where our earliest known family members lived.

Each place name is a page.  To follow the family
story click on the place name at the top and
work your way down to the bottom

At the bottom of each page are links which tell
of the history and background of each place
